Our marine collagen comes from Wild Caught Alaskan Pollock which typically live for about 3-5 years.
Because of their short life span they do not bio-accumulate heavy metals and toxins in the way that older (trophic) predatory fish do, such as grouper.
Compared to other marine collagen sources, Alaskan Pollock are one the safest fish with lowest levels of mercury.
We source them from fisheries that tests their fish for contamination even before it gets sent out to our manufacturing facility.
The State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation also does regular tests for their seafood for environmental toxins like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and heavy metals.
Wild Caught Alaskan pollock has received a clean bill of health, with extremely low amounts of contaminants – well below the levels of concern set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
In short, marine collagen in Radiancy is safe and effective!
